Form 2- Show and Tell.
Students prepare few lines on any object that is their favorite and they speak it in front of the audience. They show the object and talk about it. It can be their favorite toy, book, food etc.
Form 3- Story Telling
Form 3 students prepare a 3 minutes story and narrate it in front of the audience. They do it using props, actions and voice modulation. There were stories from animal kingdom and even Indian mythology.

 

 

Form 3 Trip to Osam Hill on 14th December 2019

Students and staff of form 3 went for trip on14th December 2019 to Osam hill situated near Vam Kandura Patanvav.  Journey started around 7:10 am with 116 students accompanied by 9 teachers and 2 ayabens and the trip organizer in 2 buses. Around 8:30 am the buses were stopped for breakfast at Padharo resort.  We reached our destination at 10:00am.  The guide divided the children into 6 groups then we stared trekking towards the hill. There were around 400 steps to climb. Activities like net climbing , rifle shooting, route finding and zipline which the students enjoyed. Lunch was enjoyed by all as it was very delicious .They were taken to see the artificial cave. . Everyone enjoyed the trip.

 

 

Sir Robert Pettigrew in RkC

Sir ROBERT PETTIGREW, an ex-teacher of RkC along with his daughter visited the school. He visits “Kullu” in Himachal every year and has earned the nickname of “Pahari Saheb” among the localities.

 

 

English Recitation Competition of Form 2 and 3

English Recitation Competition of Form 2 and Form 3 students. Students gave an outstanding performance which showed their confidence and command over the language, reciting the poem with action and voice modulation.

 

All India IPSC Lawn Tennis (U-19)

RKC took part in All India IPSC Lawn Tennis Tournament (U-19) tournament 2019-20 from 27th Nov,2019 to 29th Nov,2019 at The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, M. P. Around 12 schools participated in the event, The Emerald School became the Champion in the team event and the Daly College was Runner-Up.

 

IPSC Service Project

IPSC Service Project held at Yadavindra Public School, Patiala from 21st to 24th of November, 2019.

The service project started from 21st of November. Students were taken to the Government Elementary school adopted by YPS in Hassanpur village. Students performed various activities like planted saplings and created a kitchen garden for aanganwadi of school, painted a room and turned a stretch on the side of the classrooms into a play area. Students also educated them about hygiene and waste management.

On the 24th of November their hard work was paid off in form of smiles on the faces of government school children. By participating in this service project students learnt that teamwork can create wonders and service is of intrinsic value.
 

Primary School Events

Some of the events at primary school, like Children’s’ day, Visit to doll museum, Visit to Junagadh zoo, Art Competition, Science Experiment etc.

All India IPSC Cricket Tournament (Boys U – 17) Day 5

Hardliners Match (2nd RUNNER-UP ):
West wood cricket ground: It was played between DPS, RK Puram, New Delhi and Emerald Heights International School, Indore. DPS , RK Puram batted first and were all out for 81 runs in 18.2 overs. In reply , Emeral Heights International School reached the target in only 15.1 overs with the score of 83 runs for the loss of 02 wickets only and thus , winning the match by a handsome margin of 8 wickets. Rinkesh of Emerald Heights International school was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his solid knock of 39 runs in only 31 balls. Avnish Rajput of Emeral Heights bowled an economical spell of 4 overs and claimed 3 wickets giving away only 14 runs. It was a complete domination of both bowl and bat by the Emerald Heights Team. With this win, they secured the 2nd RUNNER-UP position in this All India IPSC Cricket Tournament, 2019. Congratulations to the Team !
FINAL MATCH:
RKC ground: After 04 days of grueling , competitive and hard fought maches , the day had come when the 02 best teams of the tournament were clashing for the top mantle. Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, batted first and played a highly calculated innings of 144 runs before being all out on the last ball of the innings. In reply, MNSS, Rai gave a tough competition but a late burst of 3 wickets in the last over completely jolted them and were restricted to only 127 runs for the loss of 9 wickets and thus, losing the match and the Trophy by 17 runs. It was the perfect Final match where both the teams gave out their best and was difficult to predict who will win the match !! Raghav of Modern School was declared as the Man of the Match for his superb exhibition of fast bowling where he picked up 4 wickets for only 18 runs in his allotted quota of 4 overs.
Modern School was definitely the team of the tournament and ,as expected, lifted the WINNERS TROPHY !!

CLOSING CEREMONY of the All India IPSC Cricket Tournament ( U -17 Boys), 2019:
Finally , the curtains were drawn on the All India IPSC Cricket Tournament, 2019 on 24th October,2019. After the Final match, the prizes were given by the Principal of the Rajkumar College, Rajkot, Mr Shankar Singh Adhikari.
1. Best Batsman of the Tournament : Yasir of Modern School, New Delhi.
2. Best Bowler of the Tournament : Anuj of MNSS, Rai (Haryana).
3. Best wicket keeper of the Tournament: Yash Salet of The Rajkumar College, Rajkot.
4. All Rounder of the Tournament : Gantavviya of Modern School, New Delhi.
5. IInd RUNNER – UP Trophy was lifted by the Emerald Heights International School,Indore.

6. RUNNER – UP Trophy was lifted by MNSS, Rai, Haryana.
The WINNER of the tournament was Modern School, Barakhamba Road , New Delhi.
The Principal , in his speech thanked the Principals of all the visiting teams for sending their teams, Managers, Coaches, Rkc Staff members with a special remark for the Grounds men for preparing the grounds in a very short time ( as Rajkot was experiencing very heavy rainfall and the grounds were inundated with water).In his inspiring speech , he was full of praise for the budding cricketers and wished them good luck for their future!
Above all , the game was played in true spirits and all the players captured our hearts by their overall demeanor !

Day – 4
On Day – 4 , in the 1st session the Quarter Final matches were played at the 04 different venues and in the 2nd session the two Semi – Final matches were played at 02 different venues.
A. Quarter Final Matches:
1.West wood cricket ground: It was played between the host team, The Rajkumar College,Rajkot and Modern School , Barakhamba Road , New Delhi. Modern School batted first and were all out for 148 runs in 19.3 overs. In reply ,The Rajkumar College, Rajkot could muster only 54 runs and were all out in 18.1 overs . Raghav Singh of Modern School was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his blistering knock of 56 runs in only 24 balls. Today also, Gantaviya of Modern School ,was the pick of the bowlers claiming another haul of 4 wickets in his allotted 4 overs giving away only 13 runs !!
2.Police Ground: Pine Grove School, Dharampur, H.P. batted first and could score only 84 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Emerald Heights International School, Indore scored 85 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 18.1 overs and thus, won the match convincingly by 8 wickets. Vidhan of Emerald Heights International School , was declared the Man of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 42 runs in 61 balls.
3.SNK Vadi Ground : YPS, Patiala batted first and scored 124 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, MNSS, Rai achieved the target in only 19.1 overs by scoring 127 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Kaushal of MNSS, Rai was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring 34 runs in 29 balls.
4.RKC ground: DPS, RK Puram , New Delhi batted first and scored 126 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, YPS, Mohali gave a tough fight before succumbing to 120 runs for 8 wickets and thus, losing out their place in the semi-finals. Abhinav of DPS, RK Puram , New Delhi was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring 46 runs in 47 balls.
B. Semi- Final Matches:
1. RKC ground: The match was reduced to 18 overs a side due to delayed start. Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi batted first and scored a mammoth 177 runs for the loss of only 3 wickets in 18 overs. In reply, DPS, RK Puram , New Delhi could score only 117 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and thus losing the match by 60 runs. The highlight of the game and the tournament was a masterly century by Yasir of Modern School and was rightly declared as the Man of the Match for his blistering knock of 100 runs in 59 balls.
2. West wood cricket ground: MNSS, Rai batted first and scored 129 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Emerald Heights International School, Indore was all out for 97 runs in 19.3 overs and thus, lost the match by 32 runs. Kaushal of MNSS, Rai, was declared as the Man of the Match for his 38 runs and 01 wicket.
Thus ,Modern School, New Delhi and MNSS, Rai booked their berths to play against each other in the Final match to be played on 24th October,2019 on the RKC Ground.
The Hardliners will be played between Emerald Heights International School, Indore and DPS,RK Puram , New Delhi on the Westwood ground on 24th October,2019.
