All India IPSC Cricket Tournament (Under – 17),22nd October,2019

Day – 3

8 matches were played at all the 4 venues.

West wood  cricket ground,in the 1st match Pine Grove School, Dharampur  scored 125 for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs . In reply ,The Rajkumar College, Rajkot could muster only 114 runs and were all out in 19.4 overs . Suryansh of Pine Grove School was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance of 4 wickets.

In the 2nd session, Vallabh Ashram , Valsad  batted first and scored 102 runs for the loss of 2 wickets .In reply, Pinegrove School , Dharampur,H.P. surpassed the target by scoring 105 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in only  18.3 overs . Aditya of Pinegrove School, was adjudged as the  Man of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 53 runs.

Police Ground,in the 1st match, YPS,  Mohali batted first and scored 132 runs for the loss of 6wickets and then bundled out PPS,Nabha  for 104 runs and thus, completed a convincing victory by 28 runs . Sehaj Kler of YPS, Mohali was declared the Man of the Match for taking 5 wickets.

In the 2nd match , DPS, RK Puram, New Delhi  batted first and scored a mammoth 182 runs for the loss of only 4 wickets . In reply, The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal  was bundled out for a paltry 100 runs in 18.1 overs. Madhav Chaturvedi of DPS School  was declared the Man of the Match for his 85 runs and 02 wickets.

SNK Vadi Ground ,in the 1st match, DPS, RK Puram, New Delhi  batted first and scored 90 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, MNSS, Rai achieved the target in only 18 overs  by scoring 91 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Jagat of MNSS, Rai  was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring  44 runs.

In the 2nd session, Daly College, Indore batted first and could muster only 77 runs before being all out in 17.1 overs. In reply, Emerald Heights International School , Indore surpassed the target by scoring 82 runs for the loss of 1 wicket only  in 13.5 overs . Vidhan Tomar of Emerald Heights International School was adjudged as the  Man of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 37 runs.

At the RKC ground, in the 1st match Daly College,Indore was bundled out for a paltry 77 runs in their allotted 20 overs.  In reply, Modern School, New Delhi blasted away to 79 runs for the loss of 01 wicket only in a mere 5.5 overs ! Gantav viya of Modern School was declared as the Man of the Match for the third consecutive time for his extraordinary bowling performance. In his allotted 4 overs , he took 4 wickets without conceding a single run !

In the 2ndsession, PPS, Nabha batted first and scored 128 runs for the loss of 09 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, YPS, Patiala  was bundled  out for 106 runs and thus lost the match by 22 runs. Tanush of PPS, Nabha  was declared Man of the Match for his miserly bowling figures of 4-1-10-3 and scoring 18 runs in 11 balls.

Day – 2

8 matches were played at all the 4 venues.

West wood  cricket ground ,in the 1st match Daly College ,Indore  scored 133 for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs . In reply, LK Singhania , Gotan chased the target and completed the formality in only 17.1 overs scoring 135 runs for the loss of a solitary wicket. Omkar of LK Singhania was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his brilliant batting performance where he scored 63 not out. In the 2nd session, The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal  batted first and could manage only 98 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs .In reply, MNSS,Rai surpassed the target by scoring 99 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in only 18 overs. Anuj of MNSS, Rai was adjudged as the  Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling  performance by taking a fiver including a hat trick! He was easily the star performer of the day!!

Police Ground ,in the 1st match, Pinegrove School, Dharampur,H.P,  batted first and scored 159 runs for the loss of 6wickets and then bundled out BK Birla, Pune  for 43 runs in only 14.4 overs and thus, completed a convincing victory by 116 runs.  Nakul of Pinegrove School was declared as the Man of the Match for his 82 runs and 2 wickets.  In the 2nd match,  Vallabh Ashram, Valsad batted first and scored 76 runs for the loss of 9 wickets . In reply, The Rajkumar College, Rajkot (Host Team) achieved their target by scoring 77 runs for the loss of 2 wickets only. The target was achieved in only 8.5 overs !! Paramjeet continued his form today also  and  was declared the Man of the Match for his 28 runs and 02 wickets. Today also, he was on a hat trick when he sent back 02 batsmen in consecutive deliveries!!

SNK Vadi Ground ,in the 1st match, PPS, Nabha batted first and scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply ,Hansraj Morarji Public School, Mumbai could muster only 89 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Auyush  of PPS, Nabha was declared as the Man of the Match for his brilliant wicket keeping performance where he affected 03 stumpings and took one catch beside scoring 45 runs. In the 2nd match , YPS, Patiala batted first and scored 164 runs for the loss of 02 wickets only. In reply, YPS, Mohali could score only 142 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and thus, losing the match by 22 runs. Pavit Dhiman of YPS, Patiala was declared as the Man of the Match by remaining not out on 50 and claimimg a wicket.

At the RKC ground, in the 1st match DPS, RK Puram, N Delhi  scored 134 runs for the loss of 6 wickets . In reply, Mayo College, Ajmer gave a tough fight before losing the match in a thrilling finish by 6 runs ! They scored 128 runs losing 6 wickets in the process. Vir of DPS, RK Puram was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring 20 runs and claiming 3 wickets in a miserly spell . In the 2nd session , Emerald Heights International School , Indore batted first and scored 89 runs for the loss of 09 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Modern School, N Delhi romped home in 13 overs only by scoring 91 runs for the loss of 2 wickets and thus winning the match convincingly by 8 wickets. Gantavviya of Modern School  was declared the Man of the Match for remaining not out on  20 runs and bowling a tight spell of 04 overs where he gave away only 14 runs and claimed 03 wickets.

All India IPSC Cricket Tournament (Boys U – 17), 20th  October,2019

Day – 1

Today the tournament started with a bang and all the teams were highly motivated and looking forward towards the week long tough competition. The game of cricket had started flowing and the games were becoming fierce and competitive. 8 matches were played at all the 4 venues.

At the SNK Vadi Ground, in the 1st match Modern School,New Delhi  scored 233 for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs and then restricted LK Singhania, Gotan to only 100 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and thus,winning the match by 133 runs. Gantavya Motwani of Modern School was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his all round performance of 58 runs and 4 wickets. In the 2nd session, LK Singhania batted first and were skittled out for 64 runs in only 10 overs.In reply, Emerald Heights school ,Indore blasted the required runs in only 7.4 overs by scoring 66 runs without losing a wicket and thus, won the match by 10 wickets! Avnish Rajput of Emerald Heights International School was declared as the Man of the Match for his performance of 32 runs and 02 wickets.

At the Police Ground,in  the 1st match, Motilal Nehru school of Sports, Rai batted first and scored 169 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and then restricted Mayo College, Ajmer  to 97 for 9 wickets won the match by 72 runs. Sachin of Motilal Nehru School of Sports was declared as the Man of the Match for his 44 runs and a miserly spell of 11 runs only  in 3 overs. In the 2nd match, Mayo college, Ajmer batted first and scored 147 runs for the loss of only 4 wickets . In reply, The Sanskaar Valley, Bhopal were shot out for a paltry 100 runs  losing 4 wickets. Mayo College, Ajmer won the match by 47 runs. Vasu of Mayo College, Ajmer was declared the Man of the Match for his 59 runs and 01 wicket.

At the West wood  cricket ground, in the 1st match, Hansraj Morarji Public School, Mumbai scored 93 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. In reply , Yadavindra Public School, Mohali chased the target by scoring 96 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. YPS,Mohali won the match by 8 wickets and   Mantaj of YPS was declared as the Man of the Match for his all round performance  of 33 runs and 3 wickets. In the 2nd match, Vallabh Ashram, Valsad scored 142 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. In reply, B K Birla School, Pune  could score only 106 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, and thus lost the match by 36 runs. Hrishi Desai of Vallabh Ashram, Valsad was declared as the Man of the Match for his match winning 53 runs!

At the RKC ground, in the 1st match RKC,Rajkot   scored 207 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and then completed the formality by restricting B K Birla, Pune to 36 runs all out in 12.5 overs. Paramjeet of RKC , Rajkot was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring 59 runs and taking 4 wickets , including a Hat Trick! In the 2nd session, Hansraj Morarji Public School, Mumbai batted first and scored 125 runs for 02 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Yadavindra Public , Patiala romped home in 17.5 overs by scoring 129 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and thus winning the match by 5 wickets. Gurshaurya of YPS, Patiala was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring 39 runs in 26 balls.

 

All India IPSC Cricket Tournament (Boys U – 17)

19th to 24th Oct’2019

The inaugural ceremony of the tournament was a grand affair and was graced and laced by a galaxy of distinguished luminaries of Indian Test Cricket. Altogether 16 teams from all over the country took  part in the  weeklong tournament.

The Principal of RKC, Rajkot ,Mr Shankar  Singh Adhikari, set the ball rolling with his inspiring speech and praised the achievements of our Chief Guest and Guest Of Honours. Mr Adhikari is himself a good player of cricket and advised the participating teams to play the game in the true spirits of it. Our Chief Guest for the opening ceremony was KS Yajurvindra Sinhji of Bilkha, Former Test player and Mr Nilesh Kulkarni, Former Test player who has the distinction of taking a wicket with the very first ball on his debut .

The inaugural ceremony was conducted on the famous South ground of The Rajkumar College,Rajkot at 7:30 am. The function started with the lighting of the lamp by the Guests of Honour and our Principal. It was followed by the oath taking ceremony which was read out by the Head Boy of the Rajkumar College, Dhruvraj Khachar.

The Principal gave an inspiring speech to the Team members and briefed them about the tournament which was started by The Rajkumar College,Rajkot. He wished good luck to all the teams and asked them to play the white pyjama game in the true spirits of the game. It was followed by the speeches of the Guests of Honour. KS Yajurvindra Sinhji of Bilkha mentioned that it was the same ground where he played his  last Ranji Trophy match  for Saurashtra  and had scored a century.Later on , he had moved on to Mumbai and played for Maharashtra. Mr Nilesh Kulkarni advised the cricketers about the discipline of this game and urged them to continue with it .

 

 

Campaign to promote health care and cleanliness

The Rajkumar College, Rajkot organised a campaign to promote health care,
cleanliness and environment on 5 th October 2019. Campaign led by 20 staff
members 20 NCC cadets. The drive was under the guidance of Heart care
foundation of India and supervised by vice principal Mr Abhijit Das. This
cleanliness drive covered 2 km area from Gymkhana, Moti Taki and Shastri
Maidan. Rkcians while cleaning surroundings asked the shopkeepers and civilians
to throw garbage in the dustbin.

 

NCC ARMY WING CAMP 2019-20

Combine Annual Training Camp -7 held at Jamkandorna, Rajkot District organised by 2 Guj BN NCC Boys from 16th Sept’2019 to 25th Sept’2019.

 

IPSC-IT Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet

The RKC team participated in all India IPSC-IT which was held at The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, Hyderabad from 22nd to 24th August 2019. Total 22 Schools and approximate 200 students participated in the Fest.
