The most awaited day of the year was the school trip to Gir Sasan, Gujarat. The school picnic was for the students of Grade IV escorted by Mr. Canute Miranda and Mr. Kunal Chaphekar along with Mr. Ajay Dave and his staff.
We assembled at 06:00 am at Spandan and started our journey for Gir Sasan at 06:30 am on 06th Feb’20. The students were extremely excited and kept singing and dancing on the bus until we reached the venue. On our way we had breakfast at Padharo resort and DJ was arranged for the boys.
We reached at Gir Hotel Resort at 10:40 am and we were guided by Ajay and his staff all this while. The resort Staff over there also welcomed us. Rooms were allocated to the boys in the group of 5 and one room leader was appointed to maintain cleanliness and discipline in the room. Boys then jumped in the pool and enjoyed in water for 40 minutes. Post this we had delicious lunch and visited Devaliya Park where boys sited few lions and leopards in their natural habitat. We also visted Gir Pride resort for snacks where boys also liked few activities in groups. In the evening we loved the Tribal dance and had delicious dinner.
Next morning boys left for trekking into the wilderness and returned by 09:40 am; post this they had breakfast and had shower and packed their bags. We left for Gir National Park where we visited the Museum and Crocodile park. We returned to Gir resort, had our lunch and boarded the bus at 01:30 pm. On the way back we had snacks and reached The RKC at 06:15 pm.
All the boys expressed a desire to revisit the place again. Indeed it was great fun along with learning for all the boys and teachers, as it strengthened the bond between the students and their teachers. It was overall a wonderful and safe trip.
