Mrs. Sona Karia and Mr. Shivam Gandha participated in a workshop at Saint Mary’s Public School, Rajkot, on 23rd November 2024.  The workshop aimed at aggrandizing the process of teaching and learning by employing novel ways aimed at better understanding of concepts. The workshop was addressed by Mr. Rajeevan Karal, a senior and highly accomplished English Language Teaching (ELT) professional and teacher trainer with over 45 years of experience in the field. Some of the key areas that he is very passionate about are teacher training, content development, and self-directed learning. During the session, he encouraged the educators to employ methods based on mass participation, such as activities and games that would encourage all children to become active learners in the classroom. He mainly put emphasis on experiential learning as prescribed in NPE 2020. The workshop reminded the educators of John Dewey, a pragmatic philosopher and educational theorist who defined education as “the continuous reconstruction of experiences.” The workshop provided a noteworthy exposure to both faculties.
