The open chess tournament for the grade 4, 5 & 6 students was held on 27 & 28th Feb, 2026 at The Rajkumar College, Rajkot. This tournament was conducted in the Swiss format, in which each player has to play all rounds and compete against opponents with similar scores. There was no elimination round. Pairings were generated round-by-round using standard Swiss guidelines.
There were a total of 5 rounds in which 48 students (Boys=45 Girls=03) participated with full enthusiasm.
The result was as follows:
First: Hetanshi Changani
Second: Karan Narvani
Third: Diyan Shah
The event aimed to promote competition spirit, strategic thinking and sportsmanship among young chess players.
