Hardliners Match (2nd RUNNER-UP ):
West wood cricket ground: It was played between DPS, RK Puram, New Delhi and Emerald Heights International School, Indore. DPS , RK Puram batted first and were all out for 81 runs in 18.2 overs. In reply , Emeral Heights International School reached the target in only 15.1 overs with the score of 83 runs for the loss of 02 wickets only and thus , winning the match by a handsome margin of 8 wickets. Rinkesh of Emerald Heights International school was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his solid knock of 39 runs in only 31 balls. Avnish Rajput of Emeral Heights bowled an economical spell of 4 overs and claimed 3 wickets giving away only 14 runs. It was a complete domination of both bowl and bat by the Emerald Heights Team. With this win, they secured the 2nd RUNNER-UP position in this All India IPSC Cricket Tournament, 2019. Congratulations to the Team !
FINAL MATCH:
RKC ground: After 04 days of grueling , competitive and hard fought maches , the day had come when the 02 best teams of the tournament were clashing for the top mantle. Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, batted first and played a highly calculated innings of 144 runs before being all out on the last ball of the innings. In reply, MNSS, Rai gave a tough competition but a late burst of 3 wickets in the last over completely jolted them and were restricted to only 127 runs for the loss of 9 wickets and thus, losing the match and the Trophy by 17 runs. It was the perfect Final match where both the teams gave out their best and was difficult to predict who will win the match !! Raghav of Modern School was declared as the Man of the Match for his superb exhibition of fast bowling where he picked up 4 wickets for only 18 runs in his allotted quota of 4 overs.
Modern School was definitely the team of the tournament and ,as expected, lifted the WINNERS TROPHY !!
CLOSING CEREMONY of the All India IPSC Cricket Tournament ( U -17 Boys), 2019:
Finally , the curtains were drawn on the All India IPSC Cricket Tournament, 2019 on 24th October,2019. After the Final match, the prizes were given by the Principal of the Rajkumar College, Rajkot, Mr Shankar Singh Adhikari.
1. Best Batsman of the Tournament : Yasir of Modern School, New Delhi.
2. Best Bowler of the Tournament : Anuj of MNSS, Rai (Haryana).
3. Best wicket keeper of the Tournament: Yash Salet of The Rajkumar College, Rajkot.
4. All Rounder of the Tournament : Gantavviya of Modern School, New Delhi.
5. IInd RUNNER – UP Trophy was lifted by the Emerald Heights International School,Indore.
6. RUNNER – UP Trophy was lifted by MNSS, Rai, Haryana.
The WINNER of the tournament was Modern School, Barakhamba Road , New Delhi.
The Principal , in his speech thanked the Principals of all the visiting teams for sending their teams, Managers, Coaches, Rkc Staff members with a special remark for the Grounds men for preparing the grounds in a very short time ( as Rajkot was experiencing very heavy rainfall and the grounds were inundated with water).In his inspiring speech , he was full of praise for the budding cricketers and wished them good luck for their future!
Above all , the game was played in true spirits and all the players captured our hearts by their overall demeanor !
