We, twenty-five students of form 6A and 6B and two staff members along with the escort from Anala Outdoors Dipen Sir left for Kutchh-Bhuj at 6:30a.m. on 4th February. We took a short break for snacks at ‘Hotel Aaram’ and then continued our journey till we reached the Kutchh Safari Resort, Bhuj at around 1:00 p.m. At the resort the students were divided in groups of four and one of them was a leader, then we were allotted rooms. We went to the dining area for hot and delicious lunch followed by a short nap. At 3 o’clock all boarded the bus again after orientation to go for sightseeing. We went to Prag Mahal and the palace of mirrors known as ‘Aaina Mahal’and then Kutchh Museum. Kutchh Museum which was a treasure house of art, artefacts, crafts, culture and lifestyle of Kutchh. Before returning we sat onthe banks of Hamisar Lake and watch the sunset. After dinner the students enjoyed campfire and showcasing their talents.
On 5th February, 2020, the second day of our trip, we all got up early. After breakfast, started our journey to ‘Dhordo’ or White Desert / White Rann. On the way we stop to see the Banni Grassland and the life of Maaldharis. Then continued our journey to the White Rann. No words can describe the beauty of this place with white salt everywhere. We played games on the white ground and then we took group photographs with the RKC School Flag. This was certainly the highlight of our trip.
After a quick lunch and a short nap, we started our journey to Mandavi. We first visited the Vijay Vilas Palace and then the beach. There children enjoyed camel ride and playing on the beach.We were treated with the famous ‘Kutchhi Dabeli’. We saw the beautiful sunset and returned to resort, had dinner and played for some time. Then we went to sleep.
On 6th February, 2020 the last day of our we had to get up early, freshen up and pack our bags. We proceeded to the craft park ‘HiraLaxmi Memorial’ at Bhujodi and watched artisans and their best work. We had a good time there.We went to Moonlight Restaurant and had lunch before we started our journey back to Rajkot.
On the way to Rajkot we were served evening snacks like wafers, biscuits, mixed fruits juice and chocolate. Around 7:00 p.m. we stop for dinner at Honest (Morbi). We reached the school at 8:45 p.m. Overall, it was as very enjoyable and educative trip which we loved.
