Acting Principal, Mr. Chacko Thomas, Chief Guest Commanding Officer of 2nd Guj Bn, NCC Rajkot Col S S Bisht, SM, Associate NCC Officers, Members of staff, NCC Cadets and students of Form 7 were present for the first Rank Ceremony of the National Cadet Corps of the Rajkumar College, Rajkot.
By joining NCC, Cadets develop not only leadership’s skills but personal integrity as well, by putting the power of service above self. In a nutshell, NCC develops various domains of the personality of young people by making them better human beings who in turn make this world a better place. The Rank Ceremony is basically conducted for 2nd year cadets to promote them to higher rank. These ranks i.e. Lance Corporal, Corporal and Sergeant are awarded to those who are mentally robust, confident, social and honest after a year of evaluation by their ANOs.

This Year, adding feather to our Cap two of our Air Wing cadets successfully completed three camps, Cadet Maheshwari Goradiya and Cadet Krinshi Parsana and both got selected for Pre Republic Day Camp at Ahmedabad. Ex- NCC Air Wing Cadet Sergeant Utkarsh Jadeja, who represented Gujarat DTE in Republic Day parade on 26th January 2020, received Governor’s medal in Junior Division Best Cadet category at Gujarat DTE and Silver medal at all over India level shared his experience. Chief Guest Col SS Bisht SM also appreciated and motivated our cadets in his speech. Acting Principal, Mr. Chacko Thomas congratulated all cadets and acknowledged the hardwork and dedication put by the NCC Officers First Officer, Sandeep Deshmukh, Second Officer Jyotirmay Jadeja, Second Officer Bharatsinh Barad and Third Officer Nilofer Khokhar for not just making this programme such a big success but for all our NCC activities.
