On 12th August 2023, 45 Students of Forms 10 and 11 (Science) accompanied by Mrs. Sapna Somani, Mrs. Pheba Varghese, and Ms. Jyotis Jacob went on an educational trip to Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat.
Students observed scientific models in the Science gallery and visited the nursery as well as Vermicomposting area which was truly a very scholastic experience for them.
The students were introduced to 30 scientific demonstrations on basic laws of nature such as Inertia, Rotational Motion, Magnetic Vortex, Resonance, Atoms Vibration and Electrons Motion in unit cell, Principle of EM waves, etc. Demonstration of Scientific Working Models, explanation of various science inventions using instruments was done in a way so as to inculcate the scientific knowledge and working principles of various science innovations in the students.
A team from the agricultural department led students to the Vermicompost area and explained it’s detailed working. After visiting the Vermicomposting pits, students were taken to the nursery and a variety of plants and their characteristics was introduced to them.
Students learnt the significance of natural farming methods, the importance of scientific experiments, and working models. The popularization of science, technology, engineering and mathematics took place among the students, and it was a more-than-satisfactory experience for all who went.
