Form 3 English Poetry Recitation Competition

Poetry is about sharing an experience, idea or feelings. Poems are written with words chosen for their beauty, sound and meaning. Keeping this motive in mind, the English Recitation Competition for Form 3 of the Primary Department was held on 23.9.23 in the Bhavsinhji Hall. The young participants enjoyed the beauty of expression, rhyme, feelings and rhythm of the poems and enjoyed narration during the competition. Their performance was greatly appreciated by the judges, audience of Form 3 and their mentors.

 

The winners of the competition were –

 

1st position – Vedant Barad, Bhavya Chovatiya

2nd position- Saach Bhimjiyani, Kayaan Vora, Vanshika Somaiya,  Nishree Karetha

3rd position – Amyra Rathod, Shagun Singh, Ziya Dadhaniya, Brahmanshi Khachar

 

 

 

 

 

 

Form 6 English Poetry Recitation Competition

“Poetry is simply the most beautiful, impressive, and widely effective mode of saying things.”

Beauty lies in the world of poetry, and the students of Form VI exhibited their talent and confidence in the English Poetry Recitation Competition held on the 18th of September, 2023. The young poets enthralled the audience with their articulation and gained confidence through stage exposure. The students were judged by Ms. Preeti Francis, Ms. Mrignayani Jadeja, and Mr. Soumick Bagchi, on parameters like memorization, intonation, modulation, clarity, pronunciation, expression, understanding, and overall presentation. The finalists were mentored by Ms. Shalini Jadeja and Ms. Rachna Chandarana.

The winners of the competition are as follows:

1st position- Khameer Keshwala and Vani Tanna

Form 3 Hindi Recitation Competition

The Hindi Recitation Competition for Form 3 of the Primary Department was held on 18.9.23 in the Bhavsinhji Hall. The young participants displayed wonderful recitation skills which were deeply appreciated by the eminent judges, staff members and the audience comprising of Form 3 students.

A unique Birthday celebration!

Every one celebrates his/her birthday by distributing chocolates, but one of our students Dakshesh Singh of form -6 celebrated his birthday in a very unique way. He distributed  saplings  to all his classmates . Through this thoughtful gesture, he imparted a significant message that it is important to grow plants and  save our mother earth.

 

 

 

 

 

An educational trip to Orbit Bearings

The students of class 11 and 12 (science) visited Orbit Bearings Pvt. Ltd., Rajkot on 13th September, 2023. The students were escorted by Mr. Ritesh Vyas, Dr. Jatin Gondalia and Mrs. Anjali Namiraj. The owner of this industry is a proud RKC alumni, Mr. Vinesh Kumar Patel. He is the Managing Director at the Orbit Bearings India Pvt Ltd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Environment Club, Tree Plantation Activity

‘Charity begins at home’, keeping this proverb at heart students of Environment Club planned a ‘Tree Plantation’ activity in our own school. The Rajkumar College, Rajkot. It signifies the importance of  a greener environment and a better future. Students whole heartedly participated and the dignitaries added to their enthusiasm. A small gesture but it shall have a lasting impact on these students.

 

 

 

 

 

The Navrachana School, Baroda –NIMUN-2023

Education has always transcended the physical confines of school premises, extending beyond the boundaries of classroom walls. Embracing this timeless philosophy of The Rajkumar College, our institution recently witnessed the active participation of eight of our students, with Dr. Mitesh Popat as Faculty Advisor, at a prestigious national-level Model United Nations (MUN) conference hosted by Navrachana International School, Baroda on 1st and 2nd September, 2023, where total 250 delegates from 20 different schools across the nation participated. Our students demonstrated a high level of maturity, diplomacy, and teamwork while navigating complex international issues.

Orientation programme for Priyalok Vilas

An orientation programme for Priyalok Vilas’ group 1 was held on 31st July 2023, while for groups 2 and 3 was held on 1st August 2023 wherein the parents were invited. The gathering was first addressed by the headmistress who gave information about the Priyalok Vilas and general instructions to be followed by the parents. The school’s curriculum was explained by the curriculum consultant where she also talked about parent collaboration. The principal then addressed the parents on important life skills, punctuality, importance of uniform and equality among children.

 

 

 

 

 

Rajkumar College emerges triumphant in SGFI District Taekwondo Competition

The sporting spirit soared high in Rajkot as the Rajkumar College delivered an extraordinary performance at the SGFI District Taekwondo Competition, held on 1st September 2023. With 11 schools participating, RKC asserted its dominance by securing numerous top positions across various age categories.

 

Under-14 Category:

  1. First Position: Karan Rathod.
  2. Second Position: Rudra Lavadiya, Dhanjay Tomar, and Akshat Rathod.
  3. Third Position: Raj Patel.

 

Under-17 Category:

  1. First Position: Rudra Vagh, Maharathi Shukla, Yagnadeep Jadeja, Harshil Parmar, Harshit Sonvani, Nayan Atulkar, Tathagat Jethva, and Suryaveer Jadeja.
  2. Second Position: Shauryaveer Jadeja and Bhavya Gamara.
  3. Third Position: Rajan Hethvadiya.

 

Under-19 Category:

  1. First Position: Abdul Kadari, Karmveer Jethva, Kanishk Bhaya, Karan Vala, Kabir Lashkari, and Aditya Agrawal.

 

RKC’s emerging talent shone brightly in the tournament with the participants showcasing remarkable skills, determination, and teamwork while excelling across all age categories with 27 participants in total, winning 23 medals in the first, second, and third positions. The athletes demonstrated maturity and experience, securing top positions throughout. This remarkable achievement highlights the dedication and rigorous training undertaken by the young athletes and their coaches.

 

The Rajkumar College’s triumphant performance in the SGFI District Taekwondo Competition not only elevates the school’s reputation but also serves as a powerful inspiration for budding taekwondo enthusiasts in Rajkot. Heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants for bringing immense pride to RKC.

 

 

 

 

 

Visit to the Sanj Samachar Press

On 31st August 2023, a group of 56 students of Form 7 was escorted by Mrs Bhavna Talati for an educational visit to the Sanj Samachar Press, a well-known media group of the Rajkot city. The purpose of the visit was to provide information on the world of journalism, media, and press operations to inspire and educate students. An educational visit like this is an incredible way to learn more about the place, people, and the world through their experiences and conversations.
