Hindi Elocution 2024-25: A Showcase of Oratory Excellence

The Rajkumar College witnessed a dazzling display of public speaking skills at the Hindi Elocution competition for Forms IX and X, held on November 8, 2024, at the Bhavsinhji Hall. Under the guidance of mentor teachers, 12 students from various houses participated in the event, vying for the top spots.

A panel of esteemed judges, comprising Mr. Nikhil Sharma, Mr. Braj Kishor Mishra, and Mrs. Mamta Chauhan, evaluated the participants on their oratory skills, confidence, and overall performance.
After a keenly contested competition, the winners were announced:

– First Position: Anika Upadhyay (Gohilwar House)
– Second Position: Janvi Mehta (Gohilwar House)
– Third Position (joint winners): Keyan Gohil (Jhalawar House) and Mira Samani (Sorath House)

The Hindi Elocution competition provided a platform for students to hone their public speaking skills, build confidence, and showcase their linguistic prowess. IPSC Music Fest – 2024

Dt. 26 th October, 2024 to 29 th October, 2024 at Scindia School (Fort), Gwalior

From October 26th to 29th, 2024, the talented students of Rajkumar College, Rajkot, accompanied by their dedicated mentors Mr. Hardik Vyas and Ms. Trupti Nimavat, showcased their musical prowess at the IPSC Music competition in Gwalior. Meherkaur Sucharia shone brightly, securing the 2 nd prize in the Indian classical vocal
competition, triumphing over participants from 16 schools. Their exceptional performances garnered not only accolades but also heartfelt verbal appreciation, highlighting their dedication and skill. This musical journey was a testament to their hard work and passion, bringing immense pride to their school.

NCC Rank Ceremony 2024-25

The NCC Rank Ceremony for the year 2024-25 was held on 9th October 2024 at Bhavsinhji Hall, Rajkumar College, Rajkot. The event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest, Group Captain Manish Mahajan, Commanding Officer, 3 Guj Air Sqn NCC, Bhavnagar.

The ceremony began with the Principal, Mr. Yash Saxena, administering the oath to the senior cadets. Group Captain Mahajan then installed ranks for the second-year cadets, recognizing their dedication and leadership. Among the senior most cadet’s awarded ranks were:

  • Sergeant Siddharth Bakrania – Army Wing
  • Sergeant Bhavya Vaghasiya – Army Wing Girls
  • Cadet Sergeant Vedant Vaghela – Air Wing
  • Petty Officer Dhruvraj Khachar – Navy Wing

Special awards were also presented, with Tirth Shah and Devika Jadeja receiving Best Cadet and Dhvanil Kagda, Nevil Zapada, and Kanishka Somani being awarded Commendation Medals.

Ex-NCC Navy Wing Cadet Tirth Bhatt delivered an inspiring speech, and the Chief Guest encouraged the cadets to remain committed to discipline and service. The event concluded with a memento presentation to Group Captain Mahajan by the Principal.

 

All India IPSC U-19 Cricket Tournament 2024

The RkC U-19 cricket team participated in the All India IPSC U-19 Cricket Tournament 2024 at Daly College, Indore during 8th October 2024 to 13th October 2024. Despite facing stiff competition the team displayed commendable sportsmanship and determination throughout the tournament.
The players showcased their skills and potential, their performance was a testament to their hard work and dedication. The tournament provided a valuable opportunity for the young cricketers to gain exposure to a higher level of competition and learn from experienced players.
The team’s participation in the IPSC Cricket Tournament was a significant milestone in their cricketing journey. The experience will undoubtedly help them grow as players and develop their skills further. The Rkc U-19 cricket team’s spirited performance and commitment to the game are a source of pride for the school and the community.

Hindi Recitation Competition for Form 6

The Hindi Recitation competition for form 6 was held on 27.9.2024 at Bhavsinhji Hall. Students from all sections participated enthusiastically. Their performances were filled with emotion, clarity, and expression, showcasing their love for the Hindi language.
The best three reciters mesmerized the judges and secured the positions as below:

3rd position:-Kanishk Sharma

English Poetry Recitation Competition 2024-25

“The crown of literature is poetry”
Poetry is just evidence of life, and the students of form – V exhibited their oratory skills in the English Poetry Recitation Competition held on 17th September 2024 at The Bhavsinhji Hall, The Rajkumar College, Rajkot. All the participants exhibited their prowess and eloquence with great enthusiasm.
The reciters were evaluated by in-house Judges Mr. Soumick Bagchi, Mr. Arjun Raval, and one of the college’s retired faculty members, Mrs. Mrignayani Jadeja. The participants were judged based on criteria such as pronunciation, expression, clarity, intonation, and overall presentation. They were mentored by Mr. Shivam Gandha, Mrs. Sona Karia and Ms. Vrinda Jadeja.

13 swimmers from Rajkumar College, Rajkot, participated in the All-India IPSC Boys Swimming Competition 2024, held at Birla Public School, Pilani, from 25th to 27th October 2024. We are delighted to share that our swimmers performed exceptionally well and achieved laurels for the school. The students were accompanied by Mr Krunal Tank (Swimming Coach) and Mr Hardeepsinh Jadeja (Team Manager). Vyom Chaiyara and Shaasvat Rangani will represent the IPSC Team at the School National Games. The detailed results are as follows:

NCC Cadets of Rajkumar College lead Gandhi Jayanti Service Activities

On 2nd October, the students and teachers of The Rajkumar College, Rajkot, organized various service activities to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti under the slogan “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata” (Cleanliness in Nature, Cleanliness in Values).

The day began with a community breakfast for the fourth-class employees, expressing gratitude for their hard work. The cadets then formed a human chain, symbolizing unity and social responsibility. An essay writing competition on cleanliness was held, encouraging students to reflect on the importance of a clean environment.

They also conducted a workshop on hygiene and sanitation, promoting health awareness, and concluded the event by cleaning the school’s main gate, reinforcing Gandhi’s ideals of cleanliness and service.

Chef Smit Sagar’s masterclass

On September 29, 2024 (Sunday), Chef Smit Sagar conducted an amazing cooking class that brought immense joy and fun to the students of Rajkumar College, Rajkot. The session was not only entertaining but also incredibly informative, as Chef Smit shared valuable insights about the art of cooking and food preservation techniques.

Students had the opportunity to learn how to make delicious coconut balls and refreshing corn salad, gaining practical skills that will surely benefit them in their culinary journeys. His tips and tricks inspired everyone to explore the world of cooking further. It was truly a delightful experience that left a lasting impression on all!
