All India IPSC Boys Tennis Competition 2024

4 students from Rajkumar College, Rajkot, participated in the All-India IPSC Boys Tennis Competition, organised by The Doon School, Dehradun, from 28th – 30th September 2024. The students participated in the under -14 category. During the event, the boys demonstrated their exceptional tennis abilities and managed to advance to the knockout stage in the team event. The students were accompanied by Mr. Sheetal Savita.

Form 4 Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition

“The crown of literature is poetry”

Poetry is just evidence of life, and the students of form – IV exhibited their oratory skills in the Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition held on 26 September 2024 at The Bhavsinhji Hall, The Rajkumar College, Rajkot. All the participants exhibited their prowess and eloquence with great enthusiasm.

The reciters were evaluated by in-house Judges Mrs. Mamta Chauhan, Mrs.Pooja Sharma, and Mrs.Divya Kachhi. The participants were judged based on criteria such as pronunciation, expression, clarity, intonation, and overall presentation. They were mentored by Mr. Prashant Teraiya, Mrs.Jyotirmay Jadeja, and Mrs.Tanuja Sharma

Sajal Mitti Performing Arts Center by Deepali Parmar

Mrs. Deepali Parmar travelled from Pune to teach art and drama to students of   Form 5 to 7 day boarders and boarders during the afternoon session from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Her engaging approach inspired our students to actively participate in the drama activities. Performing enthusiastically in Bhavsinhji Hall, she brought out the hidden talents of our students. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that showcased the creativity and potential of our young performers! This workshop was held from 23rd September,2024 to 27th September,2024.

 

During the Gala Dinner performance on September 28, Saturday, the students presented a captivating mime titled “Bus Scene.” Their creativity and teamwork shone through, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained. Mrs. Deepali Parmar also showcased her talent, adding to the evening’s excitement.

 

NCC CATC at Pransla

NCC girls went for CATC Camps-15 at Pransla from 11th September to 20th September. They performed well during the camp. They achieved medals during the camp. Details of the medals are as follows:

Devika Jadeja- gold medal in firing, Bhagyalakshmi Jadeja- gold medal for anchoring

Sanya Sidatar- gold medal for Best word of command.

Nandinee Vasdadiya- Silver medal in firing

Jashvi Ravaliya-  Bronze medal in firing.

G20 Summit at Mayo College, Ajmer

Mayo College, Ajmer recently hosted a prestigious G20 Summit simulation from 2nd September to 4th September providing students with a unique opportunity to engage in global discussions and policy making processes. This event was designed to enhance students’ understanding of international diplomacy, economic issues and collaborative problem-solving in a simulated G20 setting. The following students with the teacher escort Sima Modi participated in the summit:

Annual General Meeting of BSAI

On the 5th of August 2024 Principal Sir and Ms. Falguni Katira attended the Annual General Meeting of BSAI at Sanskar Valley School Bhopal, 36 Principals and 13 Reps. attended the meeting and discussed about various aspects and issues pertaining to boarding schools.

The gathering was first addressed by a key note speaker Dr. Chetan Solanki an educator, researcher, innovator and happiness program teacher of Art of Living,  Founder of Energy Swaraj Foundation, Brand Ambassador of Solar Energy, Govt.

He discussed the profound issue of climate change and made everybody realize that we need to unite to do justice to the climate or else we might have to face more natural calamities and climate change. The gathering of Principals and Reps were thankful for his insight.

The meeting then proceeded to discuss the upcoming programmes, that various BSAI member schools were planning to host. It was an enriching experience!

National Students Paryavaran Competition (NSPC)

The Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi a branch of Environmental Awareness drive of our Country had organized an Online Quiz.

Boarder students of Class 8 & 9 participated in the same on 8th and 13th of August respectively.

Students enthusiastically participated in the quiz and also downloaded the E-certificate attaching the same with their mail. The quiz was grouped according to their classes, the questions were challenging based on environment, science and current situation of climate change. Such programs create awareness and responsibility factor in students from a young age fostering the skills of prevention and creation of a lifestyle which shall synchronize with the surroundings, to inculcate values of reuse, reduce and recycle.

INCA MAP QUIZ STATE

Indian National Cartography Association (INCA), Organises Geography and Map quiz under the aegis of Space Application Centre (ISRO) Ahmedabad, for the students of FORM 8, 9 & 10.

29 teams comprising of 87 students participated in the first round of the quiz, which was held on 15th July, 2024 in the girls school. 3 teams including 9 students reached the State level of the quiz. The state round was held on 11th Aug, 2024, in the Rajkumar College, Rajkot for the first time.

National Heritage Quiz, Rajkot District Round

Date: 12th August, 2024

Venue: Rashtriyashala Rajkot

Organized by:  INTACH Rajkot Chapter.

The Rajkot district round of National Heritage Quiz, organized by the INTACH Rajkot Chapter was held on 12th August, 2024 at Rashtriyashala, Rajkot. The quiz featured students from Grades 7 to 10, with each team comprising of two students. A total of 15 students from across Rajkot participated in the event, which was divided into two competitive rounds. The winning team would earn the opportunity to represent Rajkot district at the Gujarat state finals. RKC participated with six teams consisting of students from Grade 8 to 10. Among them, the team of Nirvan Bhalala and Jiyan Vaishnav from Form: 8 distinguished themselves by advancing to the final round. After a spirited competition, RKC secured third place in the final round. Ms. Anupam Aarti Sinha accompanied the students, providing guidance and support. Special thanks to the Principal Mr. Yash Saxena, and the Vice principal Ms. Keyuri Gohel, for their encouragement and for granting permission to the students to participate in the quiz.

Preparatory Lodge Trip to Dhari

The trip was on 10th and 11 th of August for 2 days and 1 night to the Leonia Heritage Resort. While going towards Dhari we stopped at Shakkar baug zoo. Leonia Heritage Resort is a beautiful place amidst forest and wild life. Students enjoyed the pool activity. They spend time with the tribals singing and dancing in the night. They had fun seeing animals like lions and deer in the Ambardi Safari Park.
