Visit to Balaji Wafers

On January 10, 2024 the students of entrepreneurship from Form XI – B and XI – H, accompanied by Ms. Vasundhara Singh embarked on an educational visit to Balaji Private Limited, owned by Chandu bhai Virani, which was set up in 1989.

On arrival at the production site, a well-informed personnel named Ms. Ishika led us through our visit. The visit provided us with elaborated process used for making chips like sorting, washing, peeling, cutting, again washing, frying, seasoning and then ultimately packing. The first- hand experience inspired us to appreciate the complexity of the manufacturing world.

What further heightened our admiration was the arrangement of an auditorium dedicated especially to students, where the journey of the firm was showcased through a short film which showed us the challenging journey and the relentless hard work of the Virani brothers in building the enterprise.

We were immensely grateful for the opportunity to meet the technical director of Balaji, Kanu bhai Virani during our visit. His willingness to personally engage with us and share his insights into the entrepreneurial journey was truly remarkable. It was a rare chance to connect with an experienced entrepreneur and it was truly worth an educational visit.
