All India IPSC Cricket Tournament (Under – 17),23rd October,2019
Day – 4
On Day – 4 , in the 1st session the Quarter Final matches were played at the 04 different venues and in the 2nd session the two Semi – Final matches were played at 02 different venues.
A. Quarter Final Matches:
1.West wood cricket ground: It was played between the host team, The Rajkumar College,Rajkot and Modern School , Barakhamba Road , New Delhi. Modern School batted first and were all out for 148 runs in 19.3 overs. In reply ,The Rajkumar College, Rajkot could muster only 54 runs and were all out in 18.1 overs . Raghav Singh of Modern School was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his blistering knock of 56 runs in only 24 balls. Today also, Gantaviya of Modern School ,was the pick of the bowlers claiming another haul of 4 wickets in his allotted 4 overs giving away only 13 runs !!
2.Police Ground: Pine Grove School, Dharampur, H.P. batted first and could score only 84 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Emerald Heights International School, Indore scored 85 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 18.1 overs and thus, won the match convincingly by 8 wickets. Vidhan of Emerald Heights International School , was declared the Man of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 42 runs in 61 balls.
3.SNK Vadi Ground : YPS, Patiala batted first and scored 124 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, MNSS, Rai achieved the target in only 19.1 overs by scoring 127 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Kaushal of MNSS, Rai was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring 34 runs in 29 balls.
4.RKC ground: DPS, RK Puram , New Delhi batted first and scored 126 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, YPS, Mohali gave a tough fight before succumbing to 120 runs for 8 wickets and thus, losing out their place in the semi-finals. Abhinav of DPS, RK Puram , New Delhi was declared as the Man of the Match for scoring 46 runs in 47 balls.
B. Semi- Final Matches:
1. RKC ground: The match was reduced to 18 overs a side due to delayed start. Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi batted first and scored a mammoth 177 runs for the loss of only 3 wickets in 18 overs. In reply, DPS, RK Puram , New Delhi could score only 117 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and thus losing the match by 60 runs. The highlight of the game and the tournament was a masterly century by Yasir of Modern School and was rightly declared as the Man of the Match for his blistering knock of 100 runs in 59 balls.
2. West wood cricket ground: MNSS, Rai batted first and scored 129 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Emerald Heights International School, Indore was all out for 97 runs in 19.3 overs and thus, lost the match by 32 runs. Kaushal of MNSS, Rai, was declared as the Man of the Match for his 38 runs and 01 wicket.
Thus ,Modern School, New Delhi and MNSS, Rai booked their berths to play against each other in the Final match to be played on 24th October,2019 on the RKC Ground.
The Hardliners will be played between Emerald Heights International School, Indore and DPS,RK Puram , New Delhi on the Westwood ground on 24th October,2019.
