School trips are always highly anticipated and extremely enjoyable. This year form 8 girls went to Mount Abu; a hill station admist the desert state of Rajasthan. We started our journey with 39 students and 3 escorts teacher: Mrs.Anita Singh , Mrs.Purvi Sheth, Ms.Kalpana Makwana from Spandan at 6:30 a.m on 3rd February. We had a south Indian breakfast at Hotel Darshan around 10 a.m.The journey continued into the afternoon and we had a delicious lunch at Mehsana where we also enjoyed playing garba after lunch.After that we entered into the heart of the Aravalli mountain range.We had a brief break at Bhagya Laxmi hotel. We finally reached our destination: Hotel Sunset Inn by 8 p.m. We met our guide Mr.Jalesh Trivedi who allotted us into our rooms. The journey was very tiring but the dinner made us energetic.

The next day started with a nature walk around Nakki Lake at 6 a.m. We then had our breakfast and got ready for the day. We started with “Shree Guru Dataya temple and Guru Shikhar Hillpoint. Next we went to Brahmakumari Peace Park followed by the Achalgarh temple which had an interesting history. We had our lunch and shortly afterwards, we went to Dilwara Temple which was packed with carvings. Next we climbed 350 steps to the Arbudadevi temple. Then we were given some time for shopping from 6:45 p.m onwards. After dinner we enjoyed Maggi with a campfire.

The next morning we had a trek to toad rock followed by our breakfast. We went sight-seeing which began with a temple with a massive shiva linga. Then we went to Brahmakumari Gyana Sarovere meditation centre where we were enlightened on the inner soul. Moving on we enjoyed riding horse till the lunch time.For lunch we had the famous Rajasthani “Dal Batti Churna”.In the afternoon we had a softy near ‘Nakki Lake’. Next we went boating in the lake. We went shopping after climbing to sunset point where we saw a view that blew our minds with amazement.

We had a mouth watering Chinese dinner followed by a few rounds of housie. We also celebrated the birthday of one of our classmates. The next day we left early in the morning and had a packed breakfast at Hotel Bhagyalaxmi. We were taken to the world famous ‘Ambaji Temple’ which was known to be precious.

We took our lunch at Hotel Jan path in Mehasana. We had packed dinner from Hotel Darshan and girls enjoyed a break at ‘HFM’. We arrived at our school at around 10:15 p.m.  It was a wonderful experience and we also realized that mountains are truly best form of nature. All in all we learnt a lot and made several memories which we will treasure for our life time. We also feel very grateful for all the guidance and support given to us by our teachers and guide.
