Mark Twain one said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started”.

On the 17th September, 2025 (11:00 am to 1:00 pm) The Bureau of Indian Standard, Rajkot Branch organized Standard Writing Competition for the students of class 11 and 12 of The Rajkumar College, Rajkot. Under the guidance of BIS In-charge Mr. Nikunj Maheta, students challenged themselves to step into the shoes of producers to present their writing skills with knowledge and understanding about given topic.

This activity expanded horizon and gave hands on experience of the behind the scene processes. The participants competed to write the best of standard writing in adequate time. They were judged by the panel of school teachers appointed as judges for the competition on the basis of quality, accuracy, authenticity and adherence to the format. Judges  declared first, second and third winners and also one consolation prize and they were awarded cash prizes as well.

This competition complimented our course work and helped us understand it better. We are thankful to BIS Rajkot Branch and Mr. Nikunj Maheta for the execution and guidance of this event.
