A capacity-building workshop on “Storytelling as Pedagogy” was organized at Nirmala Convent, Rajkot for teachers. The session was facilitated by Mr. Abhay Singh, PGT Geography, Teacher of The Rajkumar College, Rajkot and a CBSE designated resource person.
The objective of the workshop was to highlight storytelling as an effective pedagogical tool to enhance classroom teaching. Mr. Singh demonstrated how storytelling can be integrated into different subjects to make learning more engaging, student-centric, and impactful.
The workshop included interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and group activities where teachers designed story-based lesson plans. Techniques such as voice modulation, use of props, anecdotes, and digital tools were shared.
Teachers found the workshop insightful and practical, appreciating the strategies to improve student engagement and concept retention.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks to Mr. Abhay Singh for his valuable contribution and to CBSE for initiating such professional development opportunities.
