The Cosmic Carnival 2025, a prestigious inter-school astronomy and science conclave, was held at All Saints’ College, Nainital from 2nd to 6th November 2025. The event brought together young innovators and science enthusiasts from across the nation to explore the wonders of the cosmos through interactive learning and experiential activities.
Representing our institution were Master Avi Kughasiya, Master Mourya Sangani, and Master Shivam Sorathiya, under the mentorship of Mr. Manish Raimangia. The team displayed exemplary enthusiasm, discipline, and scientific curiosity throughout the event.
The delegation arrived at All Saints’ College on the evening of 2nd November 2025. The day concluded with the gracious Principal’s Dinner, which served as a perfect ice-breaker. Students engaged in lively interaction sessions, forging new friendships with participants from other institutions, while teachers had a meaningful conversational exchange, sharing insights on pedagogy and innovation in science education.
On 3rd November 2025, the Opening Ceremony took place in the majestic auditorium of All Saints’ College. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Manish Naja, the distinguished Director of ARISE, who delivered an inspiring address on nurturing scientific temperament and innovation among students. The inaugural session was followed by a captivating cultural programme, setting an energetic tone for the days ahead.
The highlight of the day was the Rocket Designing Workshop, a hands-on technical experience that immersed students in the fascinating world of space science. The workshop comprised:
• Rocket Design Workshop: Practical exposure to the principles of rocket engineering and aerodynamics.
• Telescope Aiming Training: Guided sessions on telescope assembly, alignment, and celestial navigation.
• Rocket Launch Challenge: A thrilling event where participants tested the flight dynamics of their own rocket models.
• Telescope Aiming Competition: A precision-based challenge to evaluate students’ observational accuracy.
• Virtual Velocity / Robo-Kabaddi: An exciting robotics and technology contest combining innovation and strategy.
• Stargazing Session: A serene night of celestial observation through high-powered telescopes.
A proud moment for our institution came when Master Shivam Sorathiya achieved First Position in the Telescope Aiming Competition, with an exceptional aiming time of 35 seconds. The evening concluded with a mesmerizing stargazing session, during which participants observed the Moon, Saturn, and various terrestrial and deep-sky bodies, leaving everyone spellbound by the magnificence of the universe.
On 4th November 2025, participants embarked on a heritage tour of All Saints’ College, admiring its splendid Victorian-era architecture dating back to 1860 A.D. The team also visited Sherwood College, a 155-year-old institution renowned for its illustrious alumni and historic legacy. Post lunch, the delegation visited ARISE, Nainital, where they witnessed the oldest operational telescope and the RADAR system. The day culminated with another enthralling stargazing session from the ARISE terrace, offering panoramic celestial views under the crisp Himalayan sky.
On 5th November 2025, the group enjoyed a city excursion of Nainital, exploring its scenic charm and cultural landmarks. A visit to the revered Kainchi Dham provided a deeply spiritual experience, allowing students and teachers to seek the blessings of Neem Karoli Baba amidst the serenity of the Kumaon hills.
The journey concluded on 6th November 2025, as the team departed from Nainital, traveled to Delhi, and boarded their flight back home, arriving safely by nightfall.
