Seminar on Cyber Security Awareness

A seminar on Cyber Security Awareness was organized in our school to educate students about the importance of staying safe in the digital world. The seminar was conducted on Friday, 13 th February, 2026 in the Bhavsinhji Hall for all the students of class 8. The session was conducted by Mr. J. M. Kaila, PI, Cyber Crime (Rajkot City) He is a cyber security expert. The objective of the seminar was to create awareness among students about online safety, cyber threats, and responsible internet usage.
The speaker began the session by explaining the meaning of cyber security and why it is important in today’s digital age. Students were informed about common cyber-crimes such as hacking, phishing, identity theft, cyberbullying, and online scams. The speaker also shared real-life examples to help students understand how easily personal information can be misused.
Important topics discussed during the seminar included:
 Creating strong and secure passwords
 Avoiding sharing personal information online
 Recognizing fake websites and phishing emails
 Safe use of social media platforms
 Importance of privacy settings
 Reporting cyber-crimes to trusted adults or authorities
The speaker emphasized the importance of thinking before clicking on suspicious links and being cautious while downloading files or applications. Students were encouraged to use the internet responsibly and respectfully.
An interactive question-and-answer session was held at the end of the seminar, where students actively participated and clarified their doubts.
The session was informative, engaging, and highly beneficial for all attendees.
The seminar successfully created awareness among students about cyber security and helped them understand how to protect themselves from online threats. It was a valuable learning experience, and such programs should be conducted regularly to ensure digital safety among students.
