Life at school
A mini society in itself, the school provides ample opportunities to make friends, share thoughts, discuss, argue and make over and learn to lead an enriching life in the outside world.
Morning P.T., classes, prep, games, dramatics, weekend movie, trips & tours, lodge parties, competitions: each has its significance, glitter & magnetism.
Boarding
Unlike other residential schools, our boarding system is based on an age-wise classification.
Day Scholars & Towners
Parents who wish their children to receive high quality Public School education have the option of registering them only for our academic programme. They do not participate in any of the main school activities. Their academic teaching, however, is on a par with the boys and girls of The Rajkumar College main school and inevitably our values and traditions are instilled.
National Cadet Corps
National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising of the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country in being disciplined and patriotic citizens.
In 1917 when the Indian Defence Act was passed the “University Corps” was created, with the object to make-up the shortage of the defence services. The NCC came into existence on the 15th July 1948 under the NCC Act of 1948 under the Ministry of Defence.
Health care
The health of our students is our primary concern. A fully self contained hospital functions with a 24-hour medical attention and care facility, including an ambulance for emergency purposes. Recently renovated, the hospital is manned by one doctor, three nurses and other helpers. An isolation ward ensures special care and treatment to quarantined patients. Prescribed diets are provided as necessary to assist a speedy recovery.
Catering
The College Dhrangadhara Dining Hall provides daily meals to students, members of the Staff and the work force. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served.
Canteen
The Canteen functions in the afternoons and evenings on almost all days. Children enjoy having cold drinks and fast food varieties in the canteen.
